UConn Huskies Sports Roundup, October 20th, 2011

Field Hockey: The #4 Huskies defeated Boston University under the lights, 2-1. UConn improves to 14-1 on the year. Anne Jeute scored a goal for the Huskies early, and Chloe Hunnable added the game-winner in the 39th minute. Next up is the biggest game of the regular season, as we host the Syracuse Orange on Sunday at noon. Coverage is available on All-Access. The winner will win the Big East regular season crown. However, that is not as good as we once thought as they still might play Louisville. But the Cardinals have been struggling, so that's not too bad.

Men's Basketball: UConn and Syracuse were voted co-favorites in the Big East pre-season poll. The Huskies received seven first place votes and 209 total. The season opens on November 2nd with an exhibition vs. American International.

Men's and Women's Tennis: Both teams won a dual match at Quinnipiac. The women took their end 4-3, an the men won 5-2. The men swept their doubles, 3-0. Read more here.
