Women's Soccer Schedule Released!

The 2011 women's soccer schedule has been released, making it the third fall sport to release its schedule, after football and field hockey. You can view it all here. Below are the home games.

Thursday, August 11: vs. UMass, 7:00 PM (exh.)
Friday, August 19: vs. Northeastern, 7:00 PM
Thursday, August 25: vs. Colgate, 1:00 PM
Sunday, August 28: vs. Central Connecticut, 1:00 PM
Friday, September 9: vs. Boston University, 7:00 PM
Thursday, September 15: vs. Syracuse, 7:00 PM
Friday, September 23: vs. Louisville, 7:00 PM
Sunday, September 25: vs. Cincinnati, 1:00 PM
Friday, October 14: vs. Pittsburgh, 7:00 PM
Sunday, October 16: vs. West Virginia, 1:00 PM

Some notes:

• Since the women's soccer is not played on Saturdays, none of these conflict with UConn football games. Normally Big East games are played Friday/Sunday which would have created a conflict with the Syracuse game and the football game  vs. Iowa State, but the soccer game was moved up to Thursday.


• One conflict is between field hockey and women's soccer. Once again, we play Princeton in Field Hockey the same day as women's soccer senior Day. West Virginia is at 1:00 PM, Princeton is at 2:00 PM. I don't know which one I'll be at yet. We'll see come October.


• I definitely won't be at any before CCSU. I have to do student organization officer training sometime on Sunday the 28th but I don't know when yet. So I may miss the CCSU game or the field hockey game vs. Stanford, but it is highly unlikely I will miss both. Stay tuned.
